The Devizes Town Council committee structure consists of a Full Council which is supported by 3 main committees, the council also has a joint responsibility with Roundway Parish Council for the Joint Burial Committee.

Full Council is chaired by the Mayor, Councillor Sue Evans.

The Full Council has a statutory duty to convene at least 4 times during the civic year, all members of the Council are summonsed to attend.

Planning Committee is chaired by Councillor Kelvin Nash.
These meetings are held fortnightly in the Council Chamber at 7.00 pm. All council members sit on this committee.

Recreation and Property Committee meets on a six week cycle following the Committee and is currently chaired by Councillor Paula Winchcombe. Ten members of the council sit on this committee.

Community and Civic Resources Committee meets on a six week cycle following the Planning Committee and is currently chaired by Councillor Peter Evans. There are currrently nine members on this committee and 1 vacancy following the resignation of Julian Beinhorn, this position will be filled following the election for the casual vacancy in East Ward.

A Town Council Surgery is held in the Town Hall 4 weekly from 6.00 pm to 6.45 pm. Two Councillors of opposing parties will be available for consultation.

Council Meetings are open to the Public. Members of the public are permitted to ask questions of the Council at all meetings at the appropriate time and providing it is relevant to an item being considered on the agenda.
