Hillworth Park - Keeping the Best, Improving the Rest!

Devizes Town Council was delighted to learn that the application has been successful at Stage 1. This means that £1.2 million will be ring fenced for the Hillworth Project provided that we meet all of the criteria required by the Heritage Lottery Fund at Stage 2.
The Hillworth Park bid fought off stiff competition with over 30 applications totalling over £60 million competing for a pot of just £20 million. The aspect that made the Devizes bid outstanding was that it was a great community scheme with input from local people.
We are also exploring the issues such as ease of access, security and antisocial behaviour – we know that these are important issues for local people and we need to work together with people and organisations across the community to find solutions.
