Welcome to Devizes Venues
Set in the heart of Devizes lie the imposing Corn Exchange and the majestic Town Hall, where we are able to offer some of the most versatile wedding, party, banqueting and conferencing facilities in the West.
Town Hall
This is a fabulous Georgian building rebuilt in 1808.
The Assembly Room on the first floor has been maintained to reflect that Regency grandeur with an Adams style ceiling, magnificent candelabras and fine wooden floor.
Not to be outdone, the elegance of the recently refurbished Cheese Hall and the stately Council Chamber provide great versatility for all types of events.
The Corn Exchange
The Corn Exchange, located in the Market Place, was built in 1857 for the trading of commodities. The famous statue of Ceres, the Roman goddess of the harvest that adorns the building, keeps vigil over the Market Place.
The magnificent Ceres Hall is ideally suited to the larger function, seating up to 200 people for a banquet or up to 400 for a conference, concert or show. For smaller events the Wessex and Yeoman Rooms are ideal for all types of functions.
For something completely different our basement provides another versatile venue complete with bar, dance floor and stage suitable for both discos and live bands. This room, The Merchant's Suite, has been recently redecorated and refurbished. The Merchant's Suite has its own separate entrance making it an ideal party venue for all occasions.
All rooms at both the Corn Exchange and the Town Hall have full disabled access, lifts and an induction loop system for the hard of hearing. Both buildings have full bar licensed facilities and the Town Hall is licensed for wedding ceremonies.
