Allotments

The Town Council owns and runs three allotment sites within the town for the use of parish residents.

Quakers Walk

The Quakers’ Walk site is adjacent to the Kennet and Avon Canal, which amounts to an area of some 1 hectare. There are 40 plots, some of which have been sub-divided.

Windsor Drive

This site is adjacent to Windsor Drive and comprises 130 plots. In addition to the standard plots there are a number of plots set aside for community groups’ use and some raised beds for disabled use.

If you wish to add your name to the waiting list, please contact the main office and ask for the allotments officer. To be eligible for a plot you must live within the Devizes Town Council or Roundway Parish Council boundaries, Devizes residents however get a priority over Roundway residents on the waiting list. Unfortunately because of the high demand, residents of other surrounding parishes must contact their respective parish clerk. Both of the allotment sites have an active association.

Quakers Walk and Windsor Drive Allotments have an active Allotments Association.  Email:

Green Lane

Green Lane Allotments were opened in June 2013.  They are adjacent to Drew’s Pond Wood. It has 64 plots, a large car park and a green area for social events to be held. In the 6 years that it has been open, they have won 3 awards from the R.H.S. South West in bloom and a further 4 from Devizes & Roundway in bloom.
