Devizes Town Council have recently taken over the cutting of all grass areas around the town, including the 'buffer zone' alongside Quakers Walk.
As part of our plans for setting the grass cutting regime, we are keen to understand the the thoughts of local residents, some think that this is a good oppurtunity to encourage a wider range of flora and fauna to the area, creating habitats for birds, butterflies, bee's and endangered mammels such a hedgehogs.
In co-operation with an experienced local expert, we have produced a draft Biodiversity Plan for Quakers Walk. It includes ideas such as the planting of native bulbs and the creation of managed grassland and wildflower areas.
